So I've been playing and speedrunning Shantae: Half-Genie Hero since it came out back in December up until March, when I took a break from it. Since it's release there's been an update that patched out a lot of huge glitches that made the run what it is. Earlier today I decided to turn the game back on after not playing it for a while and accidentally forgot to disconnect my Wii U from the internet before doing so. So before I realized what I did I see "Software Update Completed" and the game's now running in 1.01. Everything everyone has told me so far leads me to believe it's impossible to downgrade games on Wii U, but I remember seeing a solution last month that would let me have 1.00 uploaded or something of the sort, but I don't remember where I saw it, because unfortunately I didn't get around to downloading it because I was busy then I lost access to that data when my computer broke down. Anyways, I tried to just simply delete the update data and play offline but Nintendo programmed it so that you can't play it after updating it and deleting the update data. unless you reupdate it. I know this was a huge issue with Sonic Boom speedrunners because they couldn't do the infinite knuckles pause jump if they downloaded the update, but I was wondering if someone made it possible yet 2+ years later?
