Homebrew Any way to boot directly into a software of our choice?

Hi, I recently modded my DSi and saw that it was possible to boot directly into specific software like Twilight Menu or the inserted gamecard by holding certain buttons while booting up.

This got me wondering if a modded 3DS could do the same.

I currently have a modded New 2DS XL with the latest version of Luma3DS and I'd like to boot directly into Retroarch for emulation because I have a lot of games installed and it always takes time to load the home menu.

If anyone knows how to do that, I'd really appreciate it! I already know that holding select while booting up brings up the Luma3DS configuration menu from which you can launch Open AGB Firm, so if what I'm looking for is possible, it's probably through a similar process.

All the examples you've given are booting into firmware, but afaik Retroarch is just an app.
