There are a few games I want to put on my PS2's hard drive (it's modded with FMCB and has OpenPS2Loader) but I don't have an IDE drive adapter to plug it into my PC with. Is there a way I can add games from a flash drive or something straight on the PS2?

Just get the adapter. It's faster that way than using a network cable.

I have an adapter (need it for the hard drive to work), I just can never get it to actually transfer games

Edit: nvm, thought you meant network adapter lol. I'll keep my eye out for an IDE adapter, but I need a different method in the mean time.

    Try network copying anyway.
If you don't have a crossover cable, you can connect your PS2 to the same router as your computer that has access to your games.
From there, you can load HDLGameInstaller on your PS2 and use HDLGManClient to transfer games to your PS2.

Alright, I'll try that. If all else fails I'll buy an IDE adapter.

I believe the transfer rate while using the Ethernet cable was about 2-3mbs for me. An adapter with winhiip is much better, ~20mbs.

Network installs via HDLDumb/dump are a fine alternative to using an interface adapter -

    https://my.mixtape.moe/yyratl.7z

Boot 'hdl_svr_093.elf' on the PS2 then install games via hdl_dumb, targeting the IP assigned to the PS2 (ulaunchelf has a network configuration tool located under... misc?)

You do not need a crossover cable if the computer you connect to has a gigabit ethernet port (most computers will, even ones from 10 years ago). Gigabit ethernet has auto-MDIX which automatically detects the type of cable you have and will switch to an appropriate mode that will work with that cable.

The other way to install is to copy from disc to hdd using the PS2. A small DVD game (approx. 1.2 GB) takes about 15 minutes to install from disc.

Funny you say that now, I literally just spent the last 2 hours getting it set up and working haha. All my games work fine except one, which is really annoying
