So I need a bit of help. Anyone able to point me in the direction of some good dealing tutorials? I know how to play and the rules just not how to deal properly. I have an interview/training session next week at a loacal card club and would love to become a dealer.

I assume poker = texas hold 'em here and you are only dealing (not playing like blackjack or something). waterboy100 already threw a link that is as good as any I have.

In my opinion there are two types of dealing:
contest style: Basically you shut up and deal
game with friends: I take turns when I play with friends and family.

Either way you really need to know the rules (normal and custom) intricately and make sure people follow them (people tend to resent having to up the blinds late in the game).

Leave the fancy theatrics out of though until you get a good set of cards and a good surface.

Guess that leave me to wish you luck as well.

from the man behind me (his words not mine) any a'hole can be a dealer (i have to say at this point he worked in a casino for 15 years). [IMG]
my words - the best way to learn how to deal properly is to wait until you go onto the training school because they will take you through all the steps.
they will not necessarily give you brownie points for coming in knowing bits and pieces.
