I know I can use the HTTPdumper, but that requires the cios249, which won't install because I have 3.3. If I downgrade (Which I can't even find), I saw that some newer games won't work. My favorite game atm is Mega Man 9, and I don't want to be able to lose it.

Is it possible to directly insert my brawl disc into my computer and copy everything over? Or is there another way?
I want to backup my game so I can apply a patch later today...

Well, that didn't work... it just ejected my brawl disc upon attempting to open it...

Is there a way to backup my games without converting to 3.2? Please? [IMG]

there are USB and SD dumpers but they are not very fast.

But at bare minimum I am pretty sure you would still need DVDx which runs on IOS249. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The newest FTPii also has dumping enabled now....but still dependent on DVDX...

I know this probably doesn't help you, but IMO the fastest/easiest way to get a copy of your original is to download it. This does have the distinct disadvantage of technically being illegal (at least in the united States). If i remember correctly you are allowed a backup of a game that you own, but it must be dumped by you from your original.

I need cios249 installed for Gator's Backup loader anyways for the patch...

Ok, I started it. I got an error -2011 when attempting to install cIos_Fix.wad. It installed Ios16-64 thing good... I tried launching IOS downgrader, but that application did nothing at all other than restart my wii. (No message or anything, just restart) I don't think I have the install shop 10551 app either... and I didn't see 'Install Wad Manager 1.3'.

All I want to be able to do is install the custom IOS 249. Why is this so hard?

to install the ciosfix.wad you need to use the other wad manager that came in the zip, its been modded to work on ios16 hence why it was installed in the 1st place, then run ios downgrader

    EDIT

if you get an error when running ios downgrader make sure you have read and agreed to the eula in connect24 then try again

I got it all working... except for one thing.

    WiiHTTP itself.
I typed in the IP into my url bar, I got there just fine. Clicking on the DL row, I wait about 10 seconds then I get something like' Internet Explorer cannot display this web page'. I tried right-clicking, and it gave me some error as well. What exactly do I do there?

EDIT: Would this save file work as a substitute?

My personal fav is just getting the ISO and burning it. you dont need the special drive to burn, also any computer with a dvd burner can copy an already backedup game.

Original Wii discs aren't readable by most normal drives.

Can anyone PM me a copy of brawl? This keeps going slower and slower, now it's like at 200 KB a second, which means over 7 hours at this point.

I also noticed on my wii, it looked like it had stopped...
