Any issues using 128 to 256 or even 512 GB SD cards?

I'm looking to buy a new Sd card for my games and was wondering if there are any issues with the higher capacities. I know some devices although they should support SDHC cards they have trouble with these higher amounts. Has anyone had experience using cards and these capacities with the Wii U and loading games off of them?

I would advise against anything over 200gb unless it's a Sandisk or a trusted brand, Most of the other cards are fakes using modified firmware and only hold about 32gb. I'm using a Sandisk 256gb I bought from Best Buy but that currently is the largest one you can get

Isn't it fun how SD cards can go up to 512GB now? Why someone would want to pay about 280 for an SD card is beyond me, but hey, if they've got money to burn.

I'm unaware of any limitations imposed by the OS, though I have no personal experience with anything beyond 64GB and the Wii U. FAT32 has an upper limit of 2TB I think, but it'll be a while before we get SD cards of that size. And there's always that annoying "no file size over 4GB" thing.

512GB cards are confirmed to work by users here, with no performance impact. The price-per-GB is surely poor, however.

If you can be patient for a few weeks, for recent IOSU exploit should result in the ability to use USB drives soon.

Same, hopefully all this forum time messing with emulators and such will help in real life :3
