Lmao it doesnt fuck with the current OS on your internel hard drive. Thats the point of a Live/Portable OS running from a USB (flash/hard)drive or CD/DVD.

If you have a New3ds, go Smashhax (Who doesnt have a Flashdrive 1<GB and Sm4sh?)

Otherwise, go for Oot+Powersaves

Then put it on an USB using Live USB Creator and boot from an USB instead. You don't need to install Ubuntu for smashax, just boot into it.

Also, Ubuntu is an upgrade over Windows 10 in every shape, way and form. If you really need Windows tools running you can setup a VM or use wine.

If you have a good PC you can use a virtual machine.
Edit: But now that it come to my mind, you can't downgrade with Smashax xD

Why not? You can enter the HB channel with it, and that is all you need along with a downgradable firmware.

You can use it to install Menuhax, then you can downgrade.

No, in 10.7 you can't install menuhax. That's why it's allways said that to downgrade in 10.7 you need CN or OOTHax, and not other ways.
