Hacking Any external DVD drives?

Possibly but why not save yourself some cash and buy a caddy (I have a diagnostic one that plugs into USB I picked up for £20) and a seperate drive.

Basically it is like a card reader except for drives, make sure any one you get supports the required connections (some are SATA only)

Rawdump 2.0 works with USB drives.
