I'd like to have one to use until I get a 3DS mode one
a R4 knockoff (or even the original R4) with Wood Firmware will tickle your fancy. My AceKard 2i served me pretty well too
Depends what system you're running. on the 3DS, DS mode flashcart blocking has ended and Nintendo doesn't GAF anymore so any DS Mode cart should work
Is this site legit? http://www.game4deal.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=337
now i'm no "company plug" but I had an awesome experience with modchipsdirect
IMO that site you posted has 0% looking legitimacy
Try here...it's a little teeny bit more but they are solid and won't steal your card information or anything like that:
It says it's discontinued on the AceKard 2i, and if you order one you;'ll get an R4, yet it says it's in stock.
I don't know which to believe
if you clicked the listing you would see
translation. You'll get this: http://www.modchipsdirect.com/r4i-3ds-r4ds-wood.html
wow...looks like I better hold onto my Acekard 2i o.O
I mean it's a lot more buy if you buy the Gateway 3DS it comes with a 3DS Mode Cart (red) and a Blue DS Mode Cart (R4i) so you'll be good to go
If you buy a DS MODE cart now and buy a Gateway later you'll have two DS MODE carts..a waste if you ask me. Unless you decide on a Sky3DS which only comes with a 3DS mode cart.
I'd recommend a R4i Gold 3ds (not deluxe edition) or a Supercard DSTwo (rare)
be carefull what you purchase, your cheap DS flashcart may be blocked on your 3ds firmware...
and the user above (not the pony user tralked about the original r4, which i blocked on the 3ds and even dsi...
I'm running 4.2.0-9U
that's a good list of blocked ds flashcards on the 3ds. With your firmware version nearly every flashcard should work fine
sad that list doesn't list every single card, or doesnt show pictures.. it would be really great...
If it works on 6.3, it will work on 9.7 and above. Nintendo has stopped blocking DS-mode flashcarts.
Here's an extremely well priced one that I bought recently, have had no problems with it and uses Wood firmware.
