I've been delving into homebrew on the GBA and I'm looking for a cable that can serve as a generic serial (UART)/parallel connection between the GBA and PC or other devices cause I'm really into the idea of digging into all of the general purpose applications it has. I'd try making one since the design is simple and only needs like $10 of parts off ebay, but I'm not good enough with soldering to do it cleanly I think. So I've heard that a once super popular debugging cable, the MBV2 multiboot cable has a UART mode for general purposes. Can't seem to find it for official sale anywhere now because people seem to have long moved on to the microSD cartridges that are around now.

Curious if anyone on here has one they'd be willing to sell (I'd also pay shipping) or if anyone knows where I could potentially get one any tips would be much appreciated. If someone on here is confident with soldering to make the cheapo version created by Dark Fader (new member so I can't link yet, but you can google "Dark Fader UART GBA") I'd be willing to pay for materials and a negotiable fee for the effort.

    Thanks in advance :)

P.S If this thread gets old but you have one you'd be willing to sell or know of one don't hesitate to post because I will continue to check back!

    Hello there,

    MBV2 cables aren't for sell anymore (https://web.archive.org/web/2004022...com:80/info.php?category=51&products_id=1415&)

There is the xboo cable, simple to make. Can backup and transfert saves with SendSave, it needs Windows XP and a parallel port, a virtual machine won't work. (I can make you one if your want)

Also there is this : https://web.archive.org/web/2012060.../gba-multiboot-intelligent-cable_4/index.html
(Could also make one for you)
