But not if you're on 11.0, right?Yes, it is pretty much a NAND you can update, etc, so you can go online on lower firmwares. It lets you install non-legit CIAs so you can pirate and install custom made CIAs.
No. You cannot get an emuNAND or use its features on 11.0 currently. But not if you're on 11.0, right?
That's what I thought, thanksNo. You cannot get an emuNAND or use its features on 11.0 currently.
You don't need to. This thread can help others curious as well. But you can always report this thread, asking to lock or delete it.oh, okBTW how can I close tthis thread?
ok, I'll keep it (totallynotwaitinguntilanexploitisdiscoveredandsomeonepostsithere)You don't need to. This thread can help others curious as well. But you can always report this thread, asking to lock or delete it.
I recommend to not do that and keep this thread here.
Don't worry, when it is possible to downgrade, I'll notify you.ok, I'll keep it (totallynotwaitinguntilanexploitisdiscoveredandsomeonepostsithere)
thanks pal (I don't trust someone enough to hardmod my console and I don't know soldering, and I don't know anyone with a CFW'd 3ds for the dsiware exploit)Don't worry, when it is possible to downgrade, I'll notify you.

We don't really close threads when "solved", only when they go out of hand.
2DS works just fine.Actually, along that tangent, is there anyone who's attempted downgrading a 2DS for the A9LH install? I happen to have one that I left at 9.2.0, but I've heard that downgrading past FW 6.0.0 basically insta-bricks it (since it never actually ran any firmware before that).
I'm just curious, because if someone can confirm it's safe then I could in theory do the DSiWare downgrade
So, if I'm reading the guide correctly, it WON'T brick when you flash your 2.1.0 RedNAND to SysNAND? Do you need to do anything special like making sure it doesn't go to sleep/shut off/etc?2DS works just fine.
Won't brick because you already went through the Red/EmuNand system settings setup procedure, which means you're already past the bit with the 3D sliderSo, if I'm reading the guide correctly, it WON'T brick when you flash your 2.1.0 RedNAND to SysNAND? Oh! Ok, I guess I didn't understand WHY it bricked until now, thanks. So it's "safe," but not a viable long term option?Won't brick because you already went through the Red/EmuNand system settings setup procedure, which means you're already past the bit with the 3D slider
Right. Plus the screens sometimes look stretched on a 2.1 2DS, so it's only worth it for grabbing the OTP...Oh! Ok, I guess I didn't understand WHY it bricked until now, thanks. So it's "safe," but not a viable long term option?
Oh, that's another thing; is there any way of visibly seeing how many times a system has been formatted?Plus if you were to format it would brick![]()
afaik, no, although I think the system keeps track of it somewhere... forgot where I read that tho.Oh, that's another thing; is there any way of visibly seeing how many times a system has been formatted?
