Than we edit the patcher to replace Slot 2 with SD/NAND right?
You would have to put the entire rom in memory, and hope it doesn't hit anything the game uses. And iirc, switching to TWL_FIRM limits the ram we have available, as well as making it impossible to run any arm11 code to do any on the fly patching.

Can't we just use that tool to make a NDS rom made to run off a GBA flashcart and then convert it to a CIA(AGB_Firm GBA game injection)?
... that would be trying to run a DS game inside a GBA its just an emulator, it doesn't redirect anything anywhere, as far as that cia would be aware, its just loading garbage data.

That's what would be required, if that would work (and no one knows for sure.)

But theoretically, yes.
We need to redirect read/writes from Slot-1 to SD card, which would require insane amounts of work because you would have to do it individually for each and every single DS game.

tl;dr buy a $10 R4
Nah, just download rom, execute the patcher, put rom in SD card, run

Not to be rude, but if you really think this is going to work, you really don't understand what you're doing.

AGB_FIRM isn't capable of reading a DS game. At all. Ever. For the sake of simplicity, AGB_FIRM is a GBA. It can do all of the things a GBA can do. That is it. This patcher is not doing what you seem to think it is doing.

A DS was made to read from both Slot-1 and Slot-2. It had access to both at all times. All this patcher did was redirect those Slot-1 reads, etc., to Slot-2. The DS didn't have to deal with the limitations that the 3DS puts on those things.

If this tool has something useful, we need to completly rewrite it because a NDS that has 2 slots is not the same to another completly diferent system that has 1 slot and 1 SD port.
