Not really but if I don't enclose my comment on those tags, many will feel offended and that's not my intention.

Actually I might get a Genesis Mini after its launch. Never played a single Sega game as a child so maybe its time to start, even more as from what I've seen so far, Sega really cares about their customers, not like that lame brand owner with their PSX-Classux...

I'll most likely buy one now. Emulators are fun and all, but I'd rather have the aesthetic of the console, even if it is smaller.

I can't see the point of having Street Fighter with 3 buttons controllers.
At least on the US/EUR versions.

Even more, I don't see the point of having Street Fighter II when we can have a whole lot better game instead. I'd choose Sparkster and not Street Fighter II, Sega please!. Street Fighter II will be the very first one to be deleted by me when the system becomes modifiable, and I'm sure it will.

Street Fighter II was great to have on Megadrive/Genesis, though.

    why?

210 titles altogether. 57 were released only in Japan, 39 were released only in North America, and 5 were released only in Europe.

but what does Sega CD got to do with this.

If that's the case, I can't help but recommend Sega Genesis Classics instead of waiting for plug-n-play device. It's often considered one of the best compilation releases - game selection is big and offers pretty much everything essential (from must-have titles to cult classic gems), emulation itself is great, tons of options to tweak, achievements, native romhack support, and even little cutesy things like "VR mode" that lets you play like you're sitting in front of CRT. It's unlikely that they'll ever going to top that, so that's as good of an introduction to Mega Drive games as it can be.

..oh, and make sure to play Streets of Rage 2 at all costs. It's a truly magical game :v

And also play the Sonic Games that that collection doesn't include. Unless you have a PS2 you will need an emulator to play all of them since due to legal reasons they no longer sell Sonic 3.

Depends on version of collection. Steam one does include Sonic games, from what I know

I wonder if Steve Snake is working on the emulation?
