Hello,

I recently brought out my old wii! I wanted to get it working for my daughter (she's 9). I got it modded correctly and have nes/snes/etc. emulators working, but I cannot get the HDD (to play back ups) recognized for the life of me. Maybe it's not compatible? I tried looking on the list, but it seems most of those HDDs you cannot buy anymore. Here is the one I have

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06W55K9N6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Is the drive the issue? Is there a better one you can suggest that you can still purchase? Maybe give me a link?

Whenever I load UBB Loader GX, it only shows what's on my SD card

When I used Configurable USB Loader, It says "Partition not found" Auto"

Started with all 2TB on FAT32. I even tried formatting it to the old WBFS format with WBFS manager, but it wouldn't format. I also Partitioned the drive to have a 500GB FAT32 Partition. Nothing.

2tb HDDs get to have problems with the wii, I think I remember that for those of 2tb to work it was necessary to partition the hdd into smaller sizes (like 900 gb) and put the partition table in MBR.

Get a HD enclosure that’s compatible. I can vouch for this one…

“POSUGEAR 2.5 inch Hard Drive Enclosure,USB 3.0 5Gbps Support UASP, Transparent Case Tool Free for 9.5mm & 7mm 2.5" SATA I/II/III HDD SSD”

Then you can put any new HD you like in it. I got a couple of 500Gb ones (a SSD Kingston and HHD Toshiba) they both run the same speed on the Wii (natch) but they benefit from USB 3.0 when copying stuff between them on your PC/Mac. Before this I was repurposing all my old USB2.0 HDs but they were crapping out due to age or I was filling them up too easily.

Hello,

I confirm, very good box to install an HDD.

I installed an internal hard drive from a computer that was defective in this famous box, and everything works perfectly (see photo below)
