iirc up until 1/3 of the frieza sagaHow much of the story has been translated?
Yeah, not a lot. Up until the second episode of the frieza saga, and none of the sub episodes. I sort of prioritised finishing the menus over the story, as that is what would take the longest, and most people would prefer to understand the game first, before delving into a story they already know. The menus are almost done though. Only thing left is the quotes in customization. I also need to fix the font so that the quotes would actually fit. Hopefully I'll be able to return to working on it soon though! How much of the story has been translated?
It's not working, it says that the game file is not compatible with the patch, could you send the link to the original ROM of the game? Whatever is compatible with the patch, or the patched game? Thank you in advanceYo!

Use algo chamado rom patcher js. Basta pesquisar no Google e você encontrará. Você precisa da cópia original do jogo e do patch que eu carreguei. Carregue a rom e o patch nos lugares apropriados no patcher e execute o programa. Deve baixar o arquivo para você. E então aproveite!

Thank you in advanceYo! Thanks for the heads up. Yeah I faced that, however, I got around it by extracting the swar files (or I think that's what they were called I don't really remember) and putting using tinke, then packing the sdat using tinke. But thanks for the info! It would make my life easier if I can just pack the sdat file directly.

Use something called rom patcher js. Just search that on Google and you'll find it. You need the original copy of the game, and the patch I uploaded. Upload the rom and the patch to the appropriate places on the patcher, and run the program. Should download the file for you. And then enjoy!
That just makes me more exited for the day this project is finished it may take a while but I'm willing to wait, hope everything goes well for you, and stay safe.Yeah, not a lot. Hey man! Sorry it's giving you trouble. I thought I was making it kinda sorta more official by adopting a sort game updates idea, but it seems that it's just confusing people. I'll just be releasing the patches on the unmodified rom from now on. Sorry for the trouble guys! It's not working, it says that the game file is not compatible with the patch, could you send the link to the original ROM of the game? Here's the link to the latest update that I have previously posted, but patched on the original rom, for newcomers:
Enjoy!
Not at all, as long as you credit me and the original patchers. Send me a link to the post when you do.@deathkill781 you care if I mirror the patches to some site like romhacks.org?
Well the reason is pretty simple. Laziness for the most part. Looking at the files of the game, it's kind of clear that there was intent of having an English port, as the msg files (which contain the text in the game) are inside a folder that has the name jpn, meaning there was supposed to be an eng folder. So in the end, if they won't, then who will? Us. The people with the knowledge to do it. Because die hard dragon ball fans deserve to have an English version of such a great game. Like it's actually a really good game, especially for a ds game. The gameplay is decent at least, the cutscenes are great given the limitations of the ds, CUSTOMIZATION, and most importantly, WHAT-IFS GALORE. Like this game has what-ifs for days. It's just overall a great game to have on the go, and it's a real shame it was never released in the west. So now we have taken it upon us to make it so that everyone can enjoy it. I also know of a person that's doing it in Spanish and has even changed out the voices over on youtube. It's by Themaster Cros (or @DanielMartinezAlcala). So yeah. It was up to us to do it.This is fantastic. I've been playing on the original patch from like years ago. There are so many nds games that need english translations. Why is that students are always the ones that end up doing the work.
Sadly it seems to be in hiatus and a downloadable patch hasnt been uploaded yetI also know of a person that's doing it in Spanish and has even changed out the voices over on youtube. It's by Themaster Cros (or @DanielMartinezAlcala). So yeah. It was up to us to do it.
Godspeed on the translation effort after all these years! I continue to hold on to the hope of seeing this particular game fully translated, especially the story mode's what if scenarios. The new sparking zero tenkaichi game is great but unfortunately fails to deliver with many important scenes skipped and not even one movie/special was included whereas in this piece we have Bardock and so many others wrapped in such a small file size. Here's a random video edit I made a year ago since I noticed you were trying to include English dub. I can help with that if ever you need clean vocals in the future:Well the reason is pretty simple. Hey guys. How's it going? I just wanted to update y'all on the current state of the translation. As some of you might know from my profile, I am Lebanese. And under the current circumstances, I can't really find it in my heart to work on this project while my people are being bombarded by missiles daily, other than the danger that faces me directly. I'm not asking for sympathy, but please keep us in your prayers, and raise awareness to this injustice. Anyways, as for any major update on the project, I was able to replace all the top graphics (the stuff on top of the screen that say main menu, story mode, customize...), and they are all now translated to English. What I was working on before any of this got too serious was trying to decrease the font size, as a lot of words aren't fitting at the current moment, especially in the customization menu in the quotes. If anyone has any knowledge on how to edit font files, it is highly appreciated. I was able to locate the font and found the bottom halves of the letters using ct2, but I honestly couldn't find a way to rearrange them correctly. Anyways, I will upload a link for the latest patch over here. If anyone would like to continue working on it in the meantime, they are very much welcome to do so, but I currently can't. Other than the current situations, universities are still functioning online, so I still have a lot of work to do in that regard, as it is my final year, and I need to work on my final year project, too. I know it's probably against the rules of this forum to post political stuff, but it's all stuff that pertains to my current situation and why I'm not working on this. I just thought I owed you guys an explanation, especially those of you who have been waiting over 12 years for this translation. So I would like to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, and hope you can understand. In any case, here is the patch and some screenshots. This is not to say that I am going to stop the work on this, not at all. This is very much a passion project of mine, and I want to continue working on it for sure. I am, however, taking a long hiatus for now. Please stay tuned for any further updates.

And there you guys go. Hope you enjoy. If anyone wants to work on it in this meantime, they are very much free to, but please stick to posting the patches here, and updating us using posts on this thread. And if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me at all. See ya! Till the next one!
So far the work you have done is amazing. I try to play the version you have out when I m not working. I work 7 days a week so having a game like this is awesome.
