YO! What's up guys?! Though I'd gone and abandoned the project, didn't ya? Well never fear! Because I am back! Real talk though, I'm sorry I haven't been posting anything for 2 months. It's just that I have been overloaded with work (I have a mandatory internship for my university :|), and my cousins came from overseas so I wanted to spend time with them, and so on. So life really finds a way to happen to you lol. It also took longer because I was developing an app that would make my life a lot easier when editing the text, as it auto indexes everything and modifies the indexes according to text length. (I have no idea if there already is one like it, and there most probably is, but I thought I might put my programming skills to good use ). Anyways, this is all to tell you that I'm back, and better than ever. Still can't for the life of me figure out how to edit graphics, but we'll get to it when we get to it. For now, here are the updates:
And that is it for this patch! For the people that have been annoyed by the english voices, I went back to the japanese voices for now, until I actually finish up all the menus and translations, then I will work on the voices. And finally, I hope you enjoy this patch, and I apologize again for the long delay. Here is the link to the patch:
- The challenge menu is now fully translated down to the last quip. It was kinda hard, because sometimes it would be too long to translate the sentence, and it was a whole spiel. However, I got it done, in a way that I am satisfied with.
- THE BIG ONE: ALL SUPER AND ULTIMATE ATTACKS HAVE BEEN TRANSLATED IN GAME AND IN COMMAND LIST. Now, granted, some of them are pretty stretch border to border, but nothing that you won't be able to read. When performing the ultimate moves, I only had a problem with krillin. The only way his ultimate name to break it up, so it is CHAIN DEST "enter" RUCTO DISC. Other than that though, they should all be fine.
- All accessory names have been translated and updated. (Only the names, as they were coincidentally in the same file as the attacks)
- Stage names have been updated again.
- Character names have been updated (super saiyan people actually say super saiyan instead of ssj lev.1 and so on).
P.S.: Please patch this using the original japanese version. In future updates, I will be using the latest version to patch. So for the next patch, use this version to patch it.

YOOOOO! THE MAN THE MYTH THE LEGEND.I do have a gbatemp account! hi! glad i could help!
BOIS!!!!!! MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH!!!!!!
So for those who don't know, I've been pretty stumped on how to access and edit the graphics. HOWEVER, that is for the deathkill781 of the past! Thanks to the efforts of an amazing legend, I am now able to edit the graphics of the game! This legend in name is Jonko, he is a rom-hacker that is working on a translation for Suzumiya Haruhi no Chokuretsu and Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekidou (I have no clue if he has a gbatemp account, but here is his youtube channel, PLEASE give him a follow and show him a lot of love: https://www.youtube.com/@jonko0493/).
Anyways, this legend took his time to stream videos that helped me understand how the encryption and compression of this game is actually working. Now while I won't claim to have internalized it completely, I at least understand enough to know what to do with the stuff I need to use, and I am now able to switch out graphics! Really major thanks to this legend of a guy for helping me through this. And of course, now there is more to come! Here is what I was able to work on for today though (it's not much and it's done very amateurly, but I'm no graphic designer )

As for the rest, I am still in the process of translating the descriptions of everything in the customization menu, but I'm almost done, so you can stay on the lookout for that!
And that is me for today! I'm sorry if the updates seem slow, but I am only a university student doing this in my free time, and my final year is approaching, and I'm in a middle of an internship, so time isn't exactly in abundance. So, please excuse the slowness. In any case, till the next one folks! See ya later!
P.S.: whoever wants to help out with the graphics (*ahem* @verypedro *ahem*) please contact me, as I'd love some help, because I am in no way a pro at this.
Idk if you already figured a way to avoid this happening, but i suggest using Wav2swav and Nitro Studio 1 instead of Nitro Studio 2, I've heard that NS2 has that tendency to corrupt SDATsAs for having different dubs working with it, now that would be too much work on me, as the sound files need to be exactly the same length as the files that I'm replacing, which is proving to be hard to do. Not only that, I need to ensure that the files aren't too big, because if they are, I can't use them, and it would break the sound in the game entirely. If I do use longer files than the original, I am met with some weird corruption in game, and voice stretching, and I've faced a lot of that for now, especially when doing vegeta.
I don't believe they are EnglishI know some Latino BT3 mods do this, and it sounds decent at best, but they also record new lines and idk how easy it'd be to start that if the translator is presumably English.
Yo! Thanks for the heads up. Yeah I faced that, however, I got around it by extracting the swar files (or I think that's what they were called I don't really remember) and putting using tinke, then packing the sdat using tinke. But thanks for the info! It would make my life easier if I can just pack the sdat file directly.Idk if you already figured a way to avoid this happening, but i suggest using Wav2swav and Nitro Studio 1 instead of Nitro Studio 2, I've heard that NS2 has that tendency to corrupt SDATs
Use something called rom patcher js. Just search that on Google and you'll find it. You need the original copy of the game, and the patch I uploaded. Upload the rom and the patch to the appropriate places on the patcher, and run the program. Should download the file for you. And then enjoy! How do I patch the game?
Gonna download thisBOIS!!!!!! MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH!!!!!!

"Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars"As some of you might know from my profile, I am Lebanese. And under the current circumstances, I can't really find it in my heart to work on this project while my people are being bombarded by missiles daily, other than the danger that faces me directly. I'm not asking for sympathy, but please keep us in your prayers, and raise awareness to this injustice.
Hey guys. How's it going? I just wanted to update y'all on the current state of the translation. As some of you might know from my profile, I am Lebanese. And under the current circumstances, I can't really find it in my heart to work on this project while my people are being bombarded by missiles daily, other than the danger that faces me directly. I'm not asking for sympathy, but please keep us in your prayers, and raise awareness to this injustice. Anyways, as for any major update on the project, I was able to replace all the top graphics (the stuff on top of the screen that say main menu, story mode, customize...), and they are all now translated to English. What I was working on before any of this got too serious was trying to decrease the font size, as a lot of words aren't fitting at the current moment, especially in the customization menu in the quotes. If anyone has any knowledge on how to edit font files, it is highly appreciated. I was able to locate the font and found the bottom halves of the letters using ct2, but I honestly couldn't find a way to rearrange them correctly. Anyways, I will upload a link for the latest patch over here. If anyone would like to continue working on it in the meantime, they are very much welcome to do so, but I currently can't. Other than the current situations, universities are still functioning online, so I still have a lot of work to do in that regard, as it is my final year, and I need to work on my final year project, too. I know it's probably against the rules of this forum to post political stuff, but it's all stuff that pertains to my current situation and why I'm not working on this. I just thought I owed you guys an explanation, especially those of you who have been waiting over 12 years for this translation. So I would like to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, and hope you can understand. In any case, here is the patch and some screenshots. This is not to say that I am going to stop the work on this, not at all. This is very much a passion project of mine, and I want to continue working on it for sure. I am, however, taking a long hiatus for now. Please stay tuned for any further updates.

If anyone wants to work on it in this meantime, they are very much free to, but please stick to posting the patches here, and updating us using posts on this thread. And if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me at all. See ya! Till the next one!

Hey! If you want, contact me privately. That way you can show me what you're doing and what rom you're using.Whenever I try to patch the rom, I get an error that it doesn't work on that rom. I've tried making it ignore the checksum but the final result is a rom that only shows a white screen. Do you have a fix for this? I understand if you're unable to reply, good luck out there.
