In the Wii-Tutorials and FAQs section, we can rate our own guides. This makes it easy for people to trick others that the guide is fine because one user gave five stars, where that "user" is actually the creator of the thread.
And since when do people care about ratings?
Then why did GBAtemp make such a feature?

If people rate their own thread, it give biased feedback to the reader.
Ratings are important. They let the writer know if they did a good job, and readers know if the guide is worth their time and trouble.

And if the guide is made to purposely demolish "n" device, then the user will be unhappier than ever before!
