If you read more closely:
Includes USB dongle, tool (use once to install OS) and OS software license.
Not that the 'tool' is used once to install OS, not the dongle.
This is going right beside the point.
No one has explained how you would boot into the OS, with only the tool or only the dongle, or with only buying the software -
this is an entire mad scramble to throw money at something no-one has even conceptually grasped yet.
Just because everyone in here goes mad about piracy.
- Software only so far makes no sense.
- Only Dongle or only Jig, so far makes no sense.
- "Installing tools on the switch" is highly problematic - if those tools that get permanently installed into NAND, are proprietary and DRMed
- You dont know what firmware they are selling
- You dont know if you then will still be able to update to a newer OFW, or for how long (counter measures against whatever tools get installed could be implemented by Nintendo - they can access the nand)
- You don't know how the updatepath in the DRM CFW ecosystem looks like --
but you are buying. "Something". So you can have piracy over the summer.
Its maddening.
