Animal Crossing villager house glitch

I have a villager whose house I can’t knock on even when they’re home. I’ve tried moving the house too. Any help please?

A suggestion in another topic was to reboot the Switch.
Also, did you install the latest update?
Maybe it got fixed in one of the update.
