Hello, friends!

I'd like to know if the following is possible:
From CFW, get the saves for Animal Crossing, inject them into OFW somehow, and keep playing there. Gen1 Switch.

I also have a Switch Lite, so the best solution would be to upload the saves to the cloud in my Gen 1 Switch and have AC on this Switch Lite.

What would the best solution be in this case? I can't figure out the best way to extract and inject the saves into OFW.

Is there a way to insert the saves into OFW without tampering with it?

Thank you.

Idk about the risks with Animal Crossing, that's why I refrained from doing that with that specific games. But for offlines games there's no issue when using JKSV

Are there people mentioning Animal Crossing in the ban thread ? I know some games like Splatoon do check if you had a tiny modification on your inventory, but idk about Animal Crossing ... I've seen people modding the game, but I too wish to know if they were checking if your island was suddenly modified or not

I guess that CFW means « emunand » and OFW « sysnand » ?

From what I understand, you have your save on emunand, does it mean you can upload it to the cloud from there ?

Since you have another console, I guess you could also use the official transfer thing : https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/53698
Might be safer doing that. I never used it tho so idk how that works, and I don't know if you could, for example do : Switch 1 emu => Switch Lite => Switch 1 sysnand
I actually wanted to try this out with my brother's Switch, but he already had a save and I didn't want him to delete it for a silly test

Oh, I had no idea this tool existed! Nice!
I'll try to get around it and report back.

I wanted to send the save from emunand to sysnand. And then, from sysnand, upload the save to the cloud.

I'll try to investigate potential venues to deal with the save and report back.

As promised, I've concluded succesfully the save migration from my very pirated emuMMC to legit FW.
Somethings are worth the money.

I believe I made it the more complicated way, as it was already a process described by a user (izeeling) on thread much like this one.

As I HAD to update the firmware version, atmosphere, the whole thing, I basically went all out and did things like this so I don't boot with any kind of CFW on.

My solution was thus:
  • I grabbed the latest version of Hekate, atmospere, sigpatches, Lockpick_RCM and installed them accordingly.
  • Boot to RCM inject payloader
  • Got all the keys with Lockpick_RCM
  • On Hekate, mounted emu GPP, connected the switch to computer.
  • NXNandMangaer came next, got the CFW saves from there and copied both files to my computer:

  • Booted the switch to original firmware, played the game until I could save. also, installed Happy Home Designer and game updates
  • Booted to payload again and mounted eMMC GPP with read-only OFF.
  • Went on to NxNandManager, opened the drive and selected the save partition. Mounted it, went to save and found the files there with different numbers (probably normal).
  • Copied the save files from my CFW, deleted the files I created in my playthrough, and changed the name of the new files to be the same as the ones that were deleted.

  • Booted to OFW, and all is ok, activated backup cloud saves and my daughter is happy playing around.

Now I need a few AC friends to visit my daughter's island.
I'd welcome a few friend codes. Please PM me if interested in traveling.

I'm trying something similar, but modified a TOTK save file with no success.

I've followed mainly Kimbra's tutorials

- Got the prod.keys with lockpick_rcm
- Mounted emmc using Tegrarcmgui, mounted using the volume using Nxnandmanager
- Unpacked the save with Hactoolnet
- Got the TOK save file and edited the save using and online editor
- Repacked and checked the if the file size was the same
- Copied the file over the same mounted volume

After that, once I try to open TOTK, I get a corrupt data message. I don't have to redownload the game, but after the check, it deletes the local save and I have to restore from cloud.

I wonder if I'm doing something wrong of the tutorials are simply too old and don't work with either TOTK or current switch FW
