i have my inv clean and it doesnt apear anything..
do i have to have items there and it will replace then? and how does the "modify amount" works?

Not completely unrelated, but do we know what the most expensive item is in the game?
If we do, I'd much rather clone those and sell if the bell ratio is higher than the cloning max amount of 99k bell bags with an upgraded inventory.

All the tools worked fine for me, no issues, just the values from the list don't seem to work.
Do you happen to have more than one profile? I found that this cheat only effects the primary profile (i.e. the "Island Representative")
Gotta be honest, I've never made one of those codes before, so someone else might have to rework the code. It might be that something needs to be changed. Make sure you're on 1.1.0 and if it still doesn't work then I have no idea and just wait for someone else to make the code. The offset to the first item slot, and the item id is

[[[[main+0373A1F0]+E0]+18]+40]+C8The values for the tools are the same in the list, and since I generated the rest of them the same way it should work too... Make sure that you pad them with 0 in the beginning. For example if the id is 50 don't do 000050 at the end but 00000050
It's not you, it's like that for other cheats too. I first noticed it when the Speed modifier cheat only worked for my daughter when we were running around (she has the primary account.) So that's why I thought to test it.
This game is pretty unorthodox with how it saves information (that's why it's not with all the other cheats) I think it has something to do with how local coop works. It's like everybody shares the same save game (which makes sense with one island)
I do but I'm using the primary profile, however I was just on the other one... hmm let me reboot my Switch and try again.
Edit: hmm nope...
BUT I tested the gold axe cheat again and it worked lol...

Omg my FTP text editor wasn't writing to the file the whole time so it was sending xxxx as the item ID xD

So, someone needs to make a profile switcher like the 3DS had. It was a homebrew that stored multiple towns in profiles. You'd start the homebrew, select the profile you want to play, it'd backup the current saves, then restore the selected profile saves, then launch the game. This allowed you to have multiple towns on the 3DS.
A similar homebrew can be made for Switch. You set up the profiles and each time you switch the app backs up the device save + any user account that has AC data, then restores a different device save and account saves as well as keep track of the last restored profile so it knows where to put the current one when switching. If I knew more about how the save backup and restore process worked like @JK_ I'd mock something up myself.

I don't see why you would have to, but you could always withdraw them and throw them away in a trash can/waste bin (Item ID# 2627).
