I’m scrolling through dozens of pages and I see a lot of people saying “dump this island with DA codes.” Why? And I don’t really get the term “dump ” (sorry, I’m new).

Anyway, I also came here to find out how to get a 5-star island or copy a dream island to my game (I’m a beginner, my island is really just starting, and I’m playing with the Yuzu emulator).

Dump basically means copy a dream island to be used by oneself or share with others. To dump any island you need a modded switch, or you can use any of the files shared that other people requested to be dumped

Thank you for your response. I understand better now, and that’s also what I’m looking for! I only have the Yuzu emulator; will it still work? If so, what do I need to do? I have NHSE.

It will work in yuzu. Let's use this island as example

First download this island
Open nhse
Open main.dat file (of dumped island)
Go to map editor and dump the 4 main files (acres, buildings, another acres and the other one)
Then open your acnh yuzu save file with nhse
Load the 4 files I just mentioned and see if it works.
Make a copy of your starter yuzu ssve in case you make a mistake

I just realized that it’s only half working. I tried a random DA from this forum, and there are still lots of tents, no residents, and no items—it’s all halfway done. Why is that?

Most probably you haven't advanced enough to unlock all villagers, since the flags haven't been unlocked, then that could be the reason

Yes, as I mentioned before, I just started the game (I’ve played for 30 minutes).
Is there a way to unlock these flags quickly with a hack, or does it have to be done manually?

Okay, I think I know why. My ACNH version is 1.0.0 and not 2.0.6, even though I downloaded the latest update, 2.0.6. But Yuzu didn’t apply it, and I don’t understand why, since they’re all in the same folder.

What was the solution, out of curiosity? Posting it may help someone who stumbles across this in the future.

Here’s the solution:
1. Download the latest version of Ryujinx and all the necessary files (firmware and keys). You can easily find a tutorial on YouTube on how to download all of this.
2. Download Animal Crossing and all its updates (V.2.0.6, DLC).
3. Open Ryujinx and load the game, then open the ACNH save data (right-click) and copy-paste the files from the save dump of your choice.

Start the game and it works; I didn’t even need NHSE. I only used NHSE to change the character’s name, the town, and small details like that.

I used to use Yuzu, but it almost always told me the save was corrupted. With Ryujinx, I could use any save without it being corrupted, so I recommend switching emulators if the one you’re using isn’t working.

I’m not an expert; this is just what worked for me. If it doesn’t work for you despite this, sorry, I can’t help more…
