Animal Crossing: New Horizon's Fall update adds pumpkins, costumes, and more

Animal Crossing: New Horizons' latest update is Fall-focused, bringing Halloween related events to the game. A free update will go live on September 30th, adding Halloween decorations, furniture, candy, and more. You'll now be able to grow pumpkins in a patch, and once they've grown, they'll be usable in special Halloween DIY recipes. Costumes will also be available through the Able Sisters shop, where you'll not only be able to dress up, but also change your skin and eye color with new options to fully embrace your spooky style. Nintendo is also teasing a Thanksgiving and Christmas update, to be available later in November.

Even though I "beat" Animal Crossing, I'm not really excited about these updates because it's not like anyone is going to visit my Island. I have a Modded Switch so I'm banned from the Nintendo Servers.

You can use "switch LAN play". Last time I checked their discord channel was full of active ACNH players visiting each other. Also, the setup is not that complicated.

I haven't played in months. Not since my last gf and I broke up cuz we'd play together often. My island is most likely a complete mess. I have quite a loooooooong ways to go even until I'd complete the "story", buy the largest house possible, etc. Since I stopped playing I didn't get to experience the swimming, fireworks, etc. I LOVE Halloween, so this update it going to be my ticket to jumping back in. :)

Not kidding...this is my first time watching Animal Crossing *New Horizons Tish in action...
and it seems that the only thing it's lacking is the ability to turn your character into a furry ʕ ꈍᴥꈍʔ

I know about the Lan Play and I've done it before but my friends don't have a PC to use LAN Play. Most of the Animal Crossing Community just care about Turnip Prices and Items instead of having fun and chilling. So playing with strangers feels kinda strange.

Oh, and just a quick question, will you get banned from the Nintendo Servers if you use Lan Play?

As far as I am aware lan play for ACNH only works with a CFW.
