I've changed my villagers, unlocked all of the emotions, got some DIY recipes cards for golden tools, edited my turnip prices to 435, etc. And yet there's still no ban for me but I'm low-key getting kinda worried.

Has anyone been banned from trading locally from a banned/hacked console to a clean- non hacked switch?

That seems reasonable. it's just that you hear a lot of contrasting statements or "word of mouth comments" that editing or injecting items will usually result in a ban. Obviously, there are also outliers with, individuals just injecting saves on synand cfw and then jumping back to their regular sysnand, and going online.

Yeah I made that post some time ago. Things have changed somewhat since then. Not all Edizon cheats are bad, then it wasn't clear which were hash edits and which weren't, now we know. I don't know the list of what is ok and what isn't but I know it's somewhere in the reverse engineering thread. That said, as far as I know, anyone using cheats online hasn't been banned yet, even people I'm fairly sure knew they were using hash edits. And these are the people who have been doing solely AC hacks. Other bans I've heard about, said people had been doing other things with their console which is probably what triggered it. Does that mean they aren't issuing wave bans? Who knows. In the end you never really know for sure, hacking is always about calculated risk. But I'd say based on what we know, injecting only through JKSV, as long as the hash check in NHSE comes out fine (and it usually does), the risk is low.

Thanks for breaking it down. I think at this point, only time will tell, and like you said who knows if Nintendo is just biding their time before the next update for a ban wave. I think with Nintendo's track record with banning, they've been incredibly volatile, and who knows what flags are being triggered, it's a case by case basis for most people who are getting banned.

Have you tried using JKSV to save/load before going online? My hacked Switch isn't banned atm but emunand is strictly offline only - kinda scared to risk it lol!

Yes, I usually put my switch to airplane mode when going into CFW to backup/restore the savefile and then testing it to see if it works and if it does, I reboot it into it's stock firmware and then go online.

That seems risky af, wasn't it datamined that edited saves gets flagged and detected by Nintendo servers when they go online?

Where did you read that from? 1.1.0 was the update that checked if you were playing with cheats online, which resulted in a ban. Might need to check the Nintendo switch banning hub thread.

Guess it wasn't an official source but this post + Ninji's comment in discord about hacked local game telemetry makes me think Nintendo has a way of knowing

I extract and inject with jksv yes.

I've never read anywhere about Nintendo tracking save modification in ACNH, beside reading people who try to scare others about it.

I'm still using the same save, and i go online with, even After the many editing i've stated in my previous post.

What can be monitor by the game is runing a cheat engine while accessing online.

Everything else is just scary rumors spread by people who try to scare you ;)

I see, i would like to see more confirmed updates on this, for this to substantiated. (not saying i don't believe that our consoles are sending information back to Nintendo, when going online)

It passed and so far nothing, and just to be on the safe side, I'm probably not gonna save edit for quite awhile now.

EDIT: The update only just fixed some bugs, including the duplication glitch.

would it be possible to hack in an item on an emuMMC, extract the save, then change to a sysNAND, and inject the save into the sysNAND, and trade using the sysNAND online, would I get flagged and banned?

I have a hacked switch Sys FW 10.0.2 SX OS 2.9.5. I used JKSV when i'm out of items. I used to put Nook Miles Ticket scattered in my hacked switch island. After getting it on my legit switch i revert it back to save time dropping it again. I played online on my legit switch after getting those Nook Miles Ticket. Works fine for me. Hopefully in the future too.

I was considering a possibly confusing save game transfer. I would transfer a ACNH save/account from my legit Switch to my CFW Switch. Modify the map/terrain with NHSE and then transfer it back to the legit switch via NTDO's transfer tool.

First question, is this even possible? I read that you could transfer profiles or savedata from one Switch to another but it'd more of a move than a copy, so the source Switch would lose the data. But, with JKSV, I'm thinking I could transfer, back up, and send it back.

Second, if it's possible, would this be a high risk of ban on the legit Switch?
