I tried everything. I can't run the game using HANS, I tried spoofing the firmware using the simple 3DS to CIA converter, I looked online to see if there was any solutions. I'm using a 9.2 N3DS on emuNAND.
What can I do at this point?

Update to 9.5.0-23 on Emunand and download a crypto fixed version this is an AP game.

Yes, I am sure of that.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I don't see any crypto-fixed versions online. What's an AP game?

The newer nintendo games wont run unless you are on the latest firmware unles they are Cryptofixed.

If you on an old 3ds emunand can be FW 10.3 and works fine
New 3DS its 9.5 so you need the game patch or you get the following bootloop you mentioned

Games that have this issue include isaac rebirth, mario bros paper jam, animal crossing HH,shovel knight and triforce heroes.

There are more but thats an example

Also if there is an update for the game it also needs fixed to work

So how can I patch the game? I've looked all over and I see nowhere a crypto-fixed version. I tried doing it myself and ended up with the same result, an infinite loop.

Make sure the copy you have is for your region. I've personally had problems with non-usa roms not working at all on my usa systems (notably new leaf and happy home designer Jpn versions wouldn't run) but the usa versions worked perfectly without even a hiccup.

It may not be your problem but it is worth a shot in case you might have grabbed the eu version or whatever

I am already using a US version of the game. I have installed multiple USA versions and they all resulted in the same infinite loop.

It was worth a shot. What are you using to boot Emunand? I'm having no problems playing it with rxtools+pasta nightly, nor HANS (booted from rxtools) for Hans, I set all the language and region stuff to "---" or else it may fail to boot.

I've heard reinand and cakes are both decent Emunand solutions as well. But I haven't used them myself.

I wish you luck in getting it to work! I've had some games just refuse to play nice until I gave up for a while and came back to them with a fresh mind a few weeks later. Hhd is also a great game if you liked designing houses in the previous games, definitely worth the 30usd we spent on the physical copy.

There's a way I can launch HANS through rxTools? I've gotten my CIA games working on it, excluding Happy Home Designer. But when I launch Happy Home Designer through Homebrew Launcher with HANS, I get a yellow screen before I can even change region, etc.

Just launch the Homebrew launcher while in emunand. The browser, cubic ninja, OoT, etc. If you have fbi working, youcan install yellows8's homebrew launcher CIA to emunand to jump into the homebrew menu easily. I, personally, set up my system to boot automatically into rxtools, then my emunand also has automatic menuhax, but i edited it's payload to load one of the alternative homebrew menus, masher I think, then load all my games through hans shortcuts. It was a tedious process, but it works for every game I've tried.

the catch is that I already had games working in rxtools. so tht probably wouldn't work for you. you said hans just crashes? If you're running the homebrew menu in sysnand, then that's probably why. Most cia's I've had wont boot in sysnand unless i use pasta or rxtools. You could try loading minipasta or rxtools into sysnand, then going back into the HBL to use hans with the CFW patches.

both of which work well in potplayer

amd is a bit cheaper though
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Cheaper and they are less stingy with the RAM not a big issue now but I can imagine in a yard or two things might be different
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Year not yard lol
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the vram is one advantage when it comes to AI but ends up being slower even with that and really AI is the only use case that needs more than 12gb vram right now
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Interesting lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think I watched a video where two games at 4K where eating just over 16GB of RAM and it's the one case where the 7900XT and XTX pulled ahead (minus RTX of course)
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So my opinion is that they could age a bit better in the future, and maybe AMD will continue improving them via drivers like they tend to do. No guarantee there but they have done it in the past. Just a feeling I have.

cyberpunk at 4k without DLSS/fidelityfx *might* exceed 12gb
    +1
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but that game barely runs at native 4k
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it was some newer games and probably poorly optimized PS4 or PS5 ports
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they definitely will age better but i feel dlss might outweigh that since it looks about as good as native resolution and much less demanding
    +1

When I played Cyberpunk on my old 2080 Ti it sucked lol
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
AMD could introduce something comparable to DLSS but nvidia's got a lot more experience with that
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
least amd 7xxx has tensor cores which the previous generations didn't so there is the potential for AI upscaling
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They have FSR or whatever it's called and yeah it's still not great
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
so AMD seem to finally be starting to take AI seriously
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Oh yeah those new 8000 CPUs have AI cores built in that's interesting
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Maybe they plan on offloading to the CPU?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Would be kinda cool to have the CPU and GPU working in random more
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Tandem even
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow
