For some strange reason every time I decide to use an action replay code for this game it sets the time to Jan 1st at 12:00 A.M. No matter what code I decide to use even if its just an infinite bells code it would cause this strange side effect. I did not touch the internal clock on my system at all and I am wondering what is the cause to this mess.

I am currently using a Wii with ARloader1.14 on homebrew with a retail disk of the game.

iv had this oucur its a type of glitch that oucurs with both gc and N64 version of animal crossing.

its fine just doo all the cheats you want save and quit restart and reset clock to retain items from cheap like infinate bells.

But isn't there some consequence to changing the time/date too many times. I'm kinda new to Animal Crossing but wont Mr.Resseti do something to my game if I keep resetting time?

So there is absolutely no way to get around this side effect?

Yeah, if you keep resetting the date, your town will become filled with weeds.

I haven't played the GC version so I'm not entirely sure but that should be the case (as it is for all other AC games).

Also, Mr.Resetti only gets angry if you don't save before shutting the game off. Seriously, the game knows.

I cant see there being any benefit of not saving the game after your done playing unless there is some sort of RNG players are trying to fool with. The only other game that I would do that with is Pokemon when I try to find a Pokemon with a desirable nature. Well I'm just gonna go cheat away and play the game like normal. Thank you guys.

This problem actually has quite a simple solution, you'll kick yourself because you didn't think of it.

    Warning: Spoilers inside!

Thats not a solution. Thats just you pushing your morals on how I should be playing my own games that have no influence on you. Thanks for trying anyways.

    Actually it IS a solution.

You'll be able to play the game without resets, but you'll have to make a slight compromise.

    step 1 money in bank 1,000 bells?+

step 2 save and quit change callender to 2-3 months later

step 3 get money bounus for leaving money in bank...

is that really hard guys? also weeds there is a glitch not a cheat to do that wana know?

there isnt its called do it your self or short gc clock battery so no time passes as gc clock is always 00:00
