Yeah I almost grabbed that but something more pocket able would be welcomed in vita formfactor even they got so close to my perfect device with the cube I just want 16:9.
You maybe want to look at this one: https://www.ayntec.com/products/odin2-mini

I stumbled over it some days ago, here:

If I didn't had enough e-waste already, I'd probably think about getting one :rofl2:

Maybe you can reach out to @Scarlet about it, if you are looking for an honest review ;)

I will 100% be writing up something for the Odin 2 Mini in the next few weeks for what it's worth. Absolutely stellar handheld, just been quite busy with work and other things lol

Only thing that I imagine will put people off is the very premium price tag. But it is also a very premium handheld so like, you get what you pay for.

They need to stop with the chunky gameboy clone look these specs would've been awesome with side controls and a 16:9 screen.
Nah, some of us have normal/large hands and small electronics make your hand ache

Plus vertical is way better than horizontal

The Retro Pocket 5 just released. IDK why they remain on 8gb ram still. Anyhow, this just seems clunky to carry around.

Be glad they changed it to that it was going to come with 6gb. Which specs are comparable to 2020 smartphones.

Anbernic just needs to slow the heck down already! :glare: I mean, good gawd man, let people enjoy what you have released before releasing more, like give use at least a year, lol. Gawd, how do you even keep up with firmware updates for all those systems! @_@

It's pretty much the same design but with a stronger chip. The RG405 caps at around playable PS2/GC (with PAL ROMs so it targets 50fps), meanwhile this one does both without too much trouble.
My point in making that comment was to highlight the redundancy in building another handheld in that same mold for that form factor when the mold of the original handheld was not ergonomic and uncomfortable to use base don its shape. Long story short, Anbernic should've used a different mold (e.g., ANBERNIC RG Cube).
