I am at work, and whilst looking at my pointer on a white screen, I noticed my little arrow has a shadow.

I have been using computers for the best part of almost 15 years and I never noticed this, nor can I find any options for this.

Is this just be, or something to do with my work monitor?

Control Panel > Mouse > Pointers (Card where you choose look of your mouse, scheme) there on the bottom you have a tick box, it says: Enable Pointer Shadow

Oh yes that makes perfect sense, thank you Toni, I guess I just missed it - or it could not be here.

Some sections of my computer are blocked as its a massive network with thousands of staff, but I do have a 'think client' (normal computer) for my job so it is better than most.

Thank you again, I just thought I was going crazy

Edit: They do let me keep it, but your right it is such a small little box hidden out the way

Thank you again

The first time I saw NeSchn's sig I was trippin'. Even more so than usual.
Now I see it, I still trip, but only for maybe one second.

Last week I used a computer with mouse trailing enabled. That was weird.

Heh, yep, I remember when Windows 2000 came around. The cursor shadow, the fade-in Start Menu, and all that jazz. It was awesome to me.

But they were slowing down my lame ol' Pentium II with a god-knows-what kind of graphics card, so I had to turn them off.
