Dragon Quest V (one week away), and Retro Game Challenge (tomorrow) demand a purchase IMO.
I'm definitely looking forward to those.

I might try out TWEWY and Layton.
Meteos is fun, might download buy that one again. It has a very Smash Bros. feel to the menu.

Good suggestions so far keep 'em coming!

Since you got Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow, I'd definately recomend getting Castlevania Order of Ecclesia - it's the best Castlevania for the DS IMHO and I should be buying it sometime this year because I liked it that much...

I also like Megaman ZX and Megaman ZX Advent, they're both fun platformers.

Seems like no one has mentioned Phoenix Wright yet. That series is a must get.
Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney
Phoenix Wright Justice For All
Phoenix Wright Trials & Tribulations
Apollo Justice Ace Attorney

Very good games to get.

Mario and Luigi RPG 3!!! definitely. I know it's in Japanese, but you'd be surprised at how easy it is to play

(Well, once you've got it working. Or if you import then there's no problem).

Everyone knows the humour is in the sprites anyway

The story is pretty understandable from just the visuals, too.

The top 5 you are missing (in no particular order):

1. Soul Bubbles - best puzzle-type game ever on the DS. If you ever want to kick back and chill for a minute, this is the game to play.
2. The World Ends With You - most original rpg ever on the DS
3. Disgaea DS - one of the best and deepest turn-based strategy games on the DS (tied w/Final Fantasy TA2 in this category)
4. Professor Layton and the CV - the best puzzle/rpg hybrid ever on the DS. Great artistic and musical style.
5. Moon - best fps for the DS (barely edges out Metroid PH).
6. Daigasso Band Brothers DX - best rythm/music game ever on the DS. Don't be intimidated because it's only in Japanese. It is still very playable and tons of fun without any Jap language skills. Great playing with friends.

Run, don't walk to play these six games next before you play ANY others.

I tried Dragon Quest IV, but I just couldn't get into it, same with Disgaea DS... they're just not fast enough games. I don't mind a good long RPG like Chrono Trigger, but those two games seem a little bit like work...
I already tryed Moon, but I beat that game pretty fast.
I'll get M&L 3 when it's in English.

Keep the suggestions coming!

Oh and regardless of my thoughts towards DQ4 I will definitely pickup DQ5.
