Not really sure how to describe this topic, or if it's in the right section, but I was wondering if it's possible, through some sort of hack or mod, to change the control schemes for certain Wii games, spefically ones that only support the Wii Remote/Nunchuck. In other words: is it possible to bring modifications to a Wii or a game, in order to utilize, let's say, a GameCube controller? An example would be Okami, which only supports the Wii Remote + Nunchuck combo. Would it be possible, through hacks, or whatever, to use a GameCube controller? Seeing as how it's a port of a PS2 game, an alternate scheme itself should be simple to lay out, although, in the execution, it may be hard to hack such things. Sorry if my words are unclear.

    Thanks,
    Glys

IF you can't find a ocarina code for it then you would need to do it by yourself which is most likely impossible. Oh and please don't bump your thread in that short time, it can take up to 2 days to get an answer, bumps won't help you.

@FIX94: Sorry for that, then. Any way I can delete that message or anything?

    What's an ocarina code?

Ocarina codes are cheat codes that many loaders support.

I have not looked into this for the wii and frankly I would be more inclined to head down the path of adapting a GC controller to go into the nunchuck port (I saw a video a little while back). Should I go the software route I imagine it will be quite similar to the software control hack for the likes of the DS and GBA-

If you are going the software path you then get to take the GC controller stuff and fire it across to location that the main controller (wiimote and nunchuck) would be debounced to and you might wish to try to stop anything from the main controllers appearing there (although I guess you can sit it on the side).
I do not know what level of initialisation is done on gamecube controllers and whether it is down to the game or not (if it is all done in hardware or at IOS level then fantastic but if it is left to the game to say what goes then not so fantastic).
