Hacking Almost ready to install 4.0E from 3.1E - just need homework checked

Hi all, I'm planning on updating to 4.0 from a 3.1E Wii. I've got wiikey installed and have a vague idea how to go about it. I just wanted to double check if I'm missing something before I brick my kid's wii!

Everyone's been really helpful and I've done by homework, but I've got to ask a few questions...

Here's the plan

1: Run banner bomb to install hombrew channel and bootmii (as ios and boot2)

2: Make a NAND backup

3: Install IOS60-64-v6174.wad

4: Install firmware - System Menu-v418.wad

5: Patch IOS60 with cIOS60 - for SD channel

7: Install preloader - will it patch over the cIOS I just installed? if so will a reinstall of preloader fix this?

8: Install CIOS rev 14

I want all the homebrew and basically, all exploits to work. So is this proceedure correct?

Do I need to downgrade IOS to restore the trucha bug as well? if so, what IOS should I downgrade and when in the proceedure?

If anyone could add or change to this proceedure I've listed that would be excellent.
