Gaming All stars mode is so hard in Smash ultimate

Is it me or the smash all stars mode is a lot more difficult in this smash bros?
No rest zone and CPU have a good level...

I didn't completed this mode with any character yet

So, all star mode...
Is there a challenge board like previous games, is clearing All Star on hard one of the challenges, and is the mode shorter if you don't have all the characters unlocked?

I -HATED- that DLC opponents were in Sm4sh's all star mode and made beating the mode and completing the challenges that much harder.
