I been using the same 160gb hdd in a $9 2.5 inch enclosure since 2010. its even formated wbfs (the file system). It works great for me and i dont see the need to change it. id have to update all my loaders as well. I als have used usb sticks. most do work. Its still hit or miss. All homebrew is on the sd card and some roms for emulators. i also have the emulators for the wii connect to my server for a larger rom archive access. SMB network loading is boss.

SMB loading does seem cool, but I can never get it to work sadly.

Our Wii Users,which seeks helps for their USB Issues,gets the safest and reliablest Solution - that is a HDD.

You can use cIOS 251[57] d2x v-10 beta53 -alt for USB loading and Gaming - sure it works.Is it recommended for USBLoaders ? No.

I confirm, it is better to use an external hard drive than to use a USB key.

How many people use USB keys (a lot) ?? and they tell us, it does not work.

They are told to take an external hard drive, and the ?? === MIRACLE, it works great.
