Hacking AKAIO 1.8.5 wont read my previous saves

I recently upgraded to AKAIO 1.8.5, but now it won't read any of my saves that I had before the update. Is there a way I can get my saves back?

On a related topic, is there a way i can use a save similar to those you can download from gamefaqs.com as my own save using the acekard 2.1?

Check the save extension settings and see if it matches the extension of your save files.

Creating two entire forums to answer a simple question would just be silly.
