I am afraid I am going to have to be sceptical, that wide a range of fuel is going to make for some hellish corrosion issues:
A year ago I went to the US and helped my grandad (truck mechanic) out, we spent a great deal of time replacing seals and sorting engines out that did not play well even with low percentage of biodiesel fuels (10-15%).
3 years prior (when a percentage of biodiesel was a novelty of sorts) to that is was usual mechanical/electrical issues.

Likewise I can design something to take corrosion but organic products are notoriously unreliable (I played around with fuels cells using ethanol fuel and it was not easy).

I doubt I could fit very well in these tiny vehicles. Don't get me wrong, I'm an environmentalist, but I happen to be 6'4" tall and most normal sized cars are sometimes uncomfortable.

If you are after interesting engines have a look at stuff like this:
http://www.engineair.com.au/airmotor.htm (also consider a search for the Wankel engine: http://www.howstuffworks.com/rotary-engine.htm/printable ).

@Maybe going off topic, I was walking through one of the less pleasant parts of town one day a couple of years back. Across the road in a preschool playground was one of those with no wheels (a la the burnt out joyride cards). I found that amusing for some reason.

OOooOOOoooo!!! I want one of those, so I can pretend I'm a clown!!! Not only that but I wouldn't have to buy gas, only a hack saw to saw off my legs so I could fit in it

.

Edit: I just noticed, where is the door? Does one just get in the back and muscle themselves around the seats?
