hello everybody. its been a while now. i just returned from my voyage and now it seems like the ps4 exploit scene has advanced beyond 6.72. so my question is that i am still using my system on 6.72 to play my jb games. are there any advantages to upgrade my system to lets say 7.55 or any other latest exploitable fw. just found out that the psvr game super hot mcd needs a higher fw. other then that i am pretty much happy on 6.72 using leefuls v10 with pass fail ratio of 397:23.
my apologies if this is being discussed elsewhere. please guide me to the thread if thats the case.

keep on 6.72. The KEX exploit on it is not perfect, but in comparisson to the ones in 7.55, the night and the day.

Hey all! I was told to maybe post my question in this thread see if anyone knows. Question below and any help appreciated!
______________________________________________
Have a ps4 pro running 7.55 and exploiting just fine but wanting to upgrade the internal hdd to an ssd

I know when you install the new ssd or hdd you need to install the 7.55 firmware via USB fresh but can you use the ps4 backup utility before installing the new hdd to transfer the data over once the new SSD is installed?

I won’t be going online at all with the console but do have my current ps4 user on it. Will the new ssd and transfer require me to go online at all? Again, don’t intend on going online at all but would like to preserve as much as possible from my current ps4 install.
Thanks for any advise or help!

I'd advise against it. I don't think games, possibly saves as well, that are from fake pkgs will transfer anyway. just export your saves, transfer all games to an external hdd formatted by the ps4, swap out the drives, create a user, use account activator on it with the same aid as the saves, import the saves, unmount, then mount the external hdd while in hen to get all games back. I think you might be able to get trophies back by copying and pasting, but I'm not sure. those may be lost, even through a transfer anyway.

^^might be better than Balika loader. that's how you can make backports (the right way). that's why I have my doubts about mira vnext. we can backport games using the scripts that flatz provided, but they don't take into account things like memory errors and whatnot. that's why you need IDA or ghidra to manually look at the code in something a human can understand. without having the source code available.

btw, modded warfare presented an idea I didn't think about regarding the keystone. watched a video someone posted, because someone was asking about dumping a disc to an external hdd. well, he mentioned adding the keystone location and name to the gp4. I thought it was originally related to the passcode and orbis, but apparently, it's another issue with gengp4. you can have the name anything you want (file name), but the target (targ must be the right location in the game itself and name).

Though all these webkit vulnerbilities coming out all at once does make it easy for sony to patch it all up at once in a following update patch

Only 1 of them seems to be working on latest firmwares. These are recent publicly disclosed vulnerabilities in webkit that are being checked on the PS4's version of webkit. Sony would have patched them in the next update anyway.

So ive changed my HDD to a SSD and only saved the user/home/xxx/trophy/ folder and not the one in user/trophy/.
Everytime i try to open the Trophies in XMB it gives me the np-32045-4 Errorcode but i can still see most of my Trophies.
Any way to fix this?
