save mounter/ftp is a bit glitchy with 1.5.8, but it
could be the payload. I just tried it, and it kept saying "failed," yet the save mounter notification appeared, and it worked normally. anyway, I just looked up my account id in the param.sfo. it is in fact at 0x15c like the github said:

    upload_2021-5-9_8-18-56.png

I changed it for this example, since I don't want my account id out there. it is in fact in little endian as well, so the last byte in that example above is the first byte in the account id and the first byte is the last byte. it's almost backwards, but only backwards based on byte. this must be done with a hex editor as the ps4 param.sfo editor shows gibberish for the account id.

I posted some pics of exploiting 4.07 a while back, with just the webkit. can't do shit with it though. definitely not playing games anyway.

btw, I just checked to make sure that save I mounted still worked. I do remember unmounting it. works, no problem. however, in so turning on the system and deploying goldhen 1.1, I noticed it was much faster than normal. I had left the system on for a few moments as I typed that message about installing multiple wad files at once to the wii/vwii. anyway, I haven't had a kernel panic in a long time so far. I'm not keeping it on rest mode either.

Ciss is the biggest pain in the ass faker in the scene recently. He stole X-Project plastered his name on it, stole Mira and plastered his name on it… he then used HEN source code to make his own but he “modified” to the point it bricked peoples consoles because he has no clue wtf he’s doing.

I know this sort of thing happens in every scene, but the efame bullshit is more in your face with playstation scenes. the drama is also more in your face making it seem like it only happens there. I've never really scene it with say the 360 scene, but I have a few friends who were close to the inner circle there who told me it happens, just behind closed doors.

reminds me of PSP scene early days when one site's staff used to download everything, remove the readmes and/or edit them to remove the mention of any other site, and sometimes even edit the code if it was simple stuff (LUA) to remove names or put in their url.

psphacker i think it was called. so we started putting messages to them in our software and they'd upload it not knowing only to remove the downloads and refuse to mirror them.

it was "pspupdates" which became some "Qj network" which was the plan all along to create subscriptions for "premium" so basically a group of people jumped into the PSP scene as it was growing and went "how can WE make money off this" ahhh the good old day

some people resort to placing watermarks in their projects. edat files on the ps3, for example, contain watermarks, so you'll know which program they came from. one of the people I hate (efame whore) would have his waatermark say something like "TimeToDrinkVodka" so he'd know when someone stole his work. there's also some watermarks in the logo.dat or whatever it's called that's part of a ps3 pkg, but isn't installed. the normal one either says Sony or Playstation or something like that, but some people will put their name in it. it's easy to get around, because it's made with the package builder (if you hex it in). I managed to get it to create one that said Pinky in hot pink lettering. anyway, if you extract the package, then build it with your own package builder, it will remove it by using the one germane to that package builder. however, most of these people who steal things are stupid, so they don't even check for watermarks or have no idea how to remove them.

@KiiWii , I found out why save mounter was failing. I think Leeful made a typo. check this out:

    upload_2021-5-10_7-22-45.png

there is not vtxftp.bin. Leeful named it ftp.bin actually. I may have to change that. save mounter as he called debug.bin will work, no problem, just not the second part.

alright, @Leeful , @KiiWii , I've corrected it. it works! no failure this time, just tested.
