that might be possible, so backup your saves on a regular basis.

yes, but if it's a fake signed game, I think you need fake signed dlc. dlc and themes are somewhat problematic compared with games and patches, at least backing them up. for games and patches, you need to dump them with app dumper, generate a gengp4 (remember to click save after you scan the game as it doesn't save automatically), then orbis using gengp4. it can take around a couple hours total from dumping to installing.

dlc and themes require ftping from the internal hdd (mnt/sandbox/pfsmnt), then creating a param.sfo (very easy to do, even easier than the ps3), then manually creating the pkg (also very easy to do). dlc and themes use different param.sfo, so you have to select the right one (there's only like seven selections, so it's obvious what to use). I have a tutorial on themes, but it works for dlc as well, just param.sfo is different category.

I'm not sure how often it works with dlc, but you can create unlock pkgs as well with psdlc via manual. it works with themes, all themes that I've found. I've unlocked about 40 official themes using it. all you need is the content id, which is easiest to get with ps4 pkg viewer.

btw, you also need the icon0.png from I think user/appmeta/addcont/id000002 for themes and the dlc is in their title id folder. all themes go in that one folder. if you don't put that in the pkg, the install will error yet still install. there will just be no preview image of the theme. I don't know what happens with dlc. it might also error. it produces an error that's not even on psdevwiki, and I somehow figured out what the error meant.

he has multiple apps on his github including a trophy unlocker that seems to build a package based on two of the trophy files, then you can unlock what you want after installation. this one for the system itself is what I asked him about. it was about munlocking trophies, because the demo shows all of them being unlocked at the same time with no way to choose what's unlocked. I don't know what trophies I had, so I probably won't use the app. that's what made me interested in it.

someone also said there was a bug with the pkg trophy unlocker where it replaces the game itself. I never tried it, but that sounds bad.

I never have any issues with my external storage permanently in the right hand port. Not a single one.

USB pendrive or charger in the left port, KP every single time.

yes, very easy to do, just time-consuming. it can take up to a couple of hours to backup a game, use gengp4, use orbis, then install game.

Sliers is making great progress in adapting raw sploits from theflow, whereas Specter and Thimstar are going backwards to bring stability forwards.

    we shall see....

I think I've finally got rest mode working 100% based on another member's advice. don't plug anything into the left usb port or you're liable to get a kernel panic coming back from rest mode. extended storage is fine and won't kp if in the right usb port. I've left it on rest mode for about five days now, and I just checked it. it's still working. :D

Yeah I've been using rest mode on 6.72 since the summer. With HEN it works very well. I had to check keep applications suspended and supply power to usb ports in power save settings. I keep my external on right port and a mayflash adapter plugged in the left port because I have a steering wheel at all times and it works fine.
