    Currently NOTHING.

    Wait and see what happens.

If today’s code is only half of what we need for the kernel portion: then it will still do nothing for end users.

you can do the webkit exploit, but it does almost nothing. can't play games, can't install pkgs, can't do anything you'd expect from an exploit.

I'd just be patient. the disclosure says that the exploit can be used to play pirated games near the bottom somewhere where it says what the exploit can accomplish.

These exploits all involve race conditions therefore they should theoretically work better on PRO consoles, followed by SLIM and PHAT.

The faster the processes take place the quicker they can operate in between a service starting and security layer trying to shut it down.

Ironic that the service and shutdown time gap isn’t quicker too... perhaps it is, but the performance boost of the console seems to outstrip this.

Across the board results seem better on PRO than SLIM and PHAT, so this is something to think about when ever I put “mileage may vary for users”, as some seem to have no issues, and others have plenty. Possibly chassis version affects this too. Also a cleaner system should perform better theoretically, less system mess.... who knows...

that's what I was thinking, at least about the race conditions. it's like the early wii u browser hacks. they'll never get to 100%, but they can get pretty damn close. the problem is what's going on in memory. that will affect success or failure.

4.00-8.00 payloads ported by AlAzif: https://anonfiles.com/xcA8o79ep5

Again: these are ported based on kernel dump offsets. Not that there will be 8.00 kex soon.

I believe soon someone will find a bug that can be exploited on the 8.** KEX that'll be stable.

I can't stop laughing at myself.
Someone mistakenly updated my console to 8.00. I was mad when I found out. So I just needed some comforting right now.

Is there a way to install PKGs via FTP? My usb drive is only 32 GB and the file exceeds that.

Sorry for the noob question, but seeing in the first post the patch pkgs only work for games you own or have the disc for, does that mean anything you pirate you're limited to whatever is on the disc version of the game that was ripped? So are you basically stuck on 1.00 versions of every game you don't actually own?

no, the game patch can be dumped with the game itself, but someone has to have legitimately bought it for it to work. you may have to remarry the patch with duxa's repacker. otherwise, it will error at the end of install. both game and patch have to be from the same dump, so even if it's the same account and system, it will still error if it's not the same dump. I don't know why that is, but duxa will fix it.

btw, you can dump just the patch by itself as well. you just have to change the number in the configuration file. that file goes on the flash drive your dumping the game or patch to. inside it, it will tell you what each number means. 3 is default, which is both separately. even if there's no patch, it will create a patch folder from what I remember. it will just be empty.
