Please add this tutorial to the home page.
Is there a way to get 6.5 jailbreak (kernel exploit)

    So, as you all know:
    1 Chocolate + 1 Chocolate = 2 Chocolate
    1.5 coffee + 1.5 coffee = 3 coffee

    1) Find 1.76 jailbreak (kernel exploit) on the Internet(exists).
    2) Find 4.74 jailbreak (kernel exploit) on the Internet(exists).
    3) Now put them in one folder.
    4) 1.76 jailbreak + 4.74 jailbreak = 6.5 jailbreak (kernel exploit)
    5) and that's all, now our own 6.5 jailbreak (kernel exploit).

Tylermods is currently uploading his PS4Trainer source code to github: https://github.com/TylerMods

This should be a valuable resource for modern and an interesting base for other projects :)

Here is a simple fix to make any PS4 Linux distro work with PSVR.

    1. Start your PS4 Linux using the linux loader of your choice.
    2. When the LED on the PS4 has turned to a pulsating blue/red and the PSVR processor has turned itself off(solid red LED) just turn the power to the PSVR processor off then on again.
    3. Your TV will now display PS4 Linux. (may take a while when linux is still loading)

Yes the fix is to turn it off then on again. Simple as that:D

The reason why Linux would not display when going through the PSVR processor is that when the PS4 reboots to start loading linux it turns off the hdmi signal so the PSVR processor thinks that the PS4 has shut down so it goes into standby mode.
The fix is just to turn it off and on again then it finds the hdmi signal and displays it on the TV.

Now that the gentoo PS4 Linux distro has PSVR drivers we should be able to use the PSVR with Steam-VR just like you can on a PC.:):)

    UPDATE:
I have just found out that the above method ONLY works when Linux has already been installed.
When installing Linux for the first time either plug your PS4 directly into your TV or do the following if connected through PSVR:

    1. Load the 2GB linux loader payload.
    2. After you see the 'Linux loaded' or 'AllDone' message and the screen goes black, unplug the PS4 HDMI cable from the PSVR processor box.
    3. Wait until the LED on the PS4 has turned to a pulsating blue/red then plug the HDMI cable back in and the Linux RescueShell should be displayed on your screen.

Once Linux has successfully installed you can do either method to use PSVR with Linux.

@Leeful the good old "turn it off and on again" does the trick. Nice find! :grog:

I cant wait to see if the VR content works well on PS4 via linux :D

Just rename the gentoo file psxitarch.tar.xz and install as usual with the same bzImage and initramfs as Psxitarch V2

I've just noticed that my original method to use PSVR with PS4 Linux ONLY works when Linux has already been installed.

I have updated my original post above with a new method on how to install Linux if using PSVR.

Yes it does. It's one of the quicklauch items at the top of the screen.
I havent tried it with any 3D though.

I have tried dolphin and was playing MarioKart DoubleDash(gamecube) for about half an hour and it didnt crash like psxitarch did.:)
