ADRIFT is a toolkit for creating interactive fiction titles.
A runner that can interpret ADRIFT created files would be great.

The main ADRIFT web site is here: http://www.adrift.org.uk

A clone written in ANSI/ISO C is available here: http://www.geocities.com/legion_if/scare.html

Of course for the Wii it would need to incorporate an onscreen keyboard.

Ya. USB kb is a given too.

There is also the TADS system.
    http://www.tads.org

Tads supports basic HTML, allowing for pictures, animations, etc.

Tons of interactive fiction titles are available, including some great adult titles too such as School Dreams 3.
