capacitors aren't batteries, and you can't just replace one with the other!
Even if they are technically serving the same purpose in a circuit, it is only because the circuit has been engineered that way. All the supporting electronics in the power section of the sx pro dongle will have been designed around capacitors, and would need to be completely different to use some other form of power.
This makes no sense to me. You guys keep saying it doesn’t work like that; you can’t replace capacitors with batteries, etc...
But how is installing the dongle internally and feeding it power directly from the switch any different?????
The switches battery in this case is what would power on the internally installed dongle? Explain this. Clearly it works since a couple people have done this and even wrote up guides on how to install it, after reading those forums I haven’t read of any problems with the switches circuits frying or anything.

This defeats the frustration of buying a $47 dongle that is now dead.just load the payload from another source
I at least want to make use of this paper weight I have.
