Dear John,

Thanks for supporting A-DATA product.

The R/W speed of our Micro SD is about 7MB/2MB per second. And,
actually,
Super Micro SD is almost the same as our regular Micro SD cards.

Regards,

Hmm, pretty slow R/W if you ask me, compared to this other 2GB card im looking at that has 8.8MB/S (MAX) on read speed and 5.0MB/S (MAX) on write.

Which card are you looking at? 2GB, 8.8/5.0 r/w. Wow, that's impressive.

I just purchased a 2GB A-DATA super microSD card.. Going to do some real-world speed tests using a multi card reader.

EDIT:

Here goes...

FAT16 > FAT32 speed-wise.

After a couple formats here are the results:

4.1-4.2 MB/s Write speed

8.1-8.2 MB/s Read speed

So you could really say 8MBs/4MBs

*Transfer of a 1GB file.

It seems to pick up speed during the end of the transfer.

EDIT2:

The program HDTACH rated it at 9.2MB/s [READ speed]

ps - this card was made in taiwan.

ask them what the random access time for the card is considering that's the most important factor in rom performance.
