ROM Hack Actual saves on an edited ROM? [Just need quick confirmation]

I'm pretty sure this is not possible. Is it possible to use ROMs ripped from a game cartridge with an edited ROM? I don't think so, but just need a very quick "yes, it's possible" or "no, it's not".

Depends on the amount the rom was edited and what game it is, Pokemon for example may have a few issues or it may load just fine, it's hit or miss, doesn't hurt to try.

Yes, it is possible. But you'll need to re-encrypt your save for edited game. Use this tutorial. To backup cart's save you'll need to use CFW (the easiest way is to use NTR CFW + Savegame Manager Plugin).
