If Activision’s domain name registrations are correct then it appears as though the development team behind the well received GoldenEye 007 are currently planning a brand new GoldenEye title. There’s no more information such as platforms, or if the game is a direct sequel to GoldenEye 007, but as soon as I hear anything I’ll make sure to let everyone know.[/p]

Now with more perks, classes, guns and 8 new multiplayer maps including 2 from the last game but with new graphics slightly.

Do you feel that making a new one will spoil the game?

In a Way Yes. Just doing what they did to the Wii game made me feel iffy. Sure it was bloody excellent for a Wii game but I never got that true Golden Eye feel I had for the N64. Milking the Golden-eye franchise is only going to ruin what gamers felt playing the original game back when they had their Nintendo 64's.

You probably will never get that experience again to be honest. It was awesome before only because it was different at the time when it first came out now it's more of the same as many other titles out. Still beats the hell out of Call of Duty though [IMG]

It's called Perfect Dark. There's really no reason to want a Goldeneye remake since the Perfect Dark HD port contains Perfect Dark (a thoroughly improved game) as well as all the Goldeneye maps and weapons. Perfect Dark just runs a modified Goldeneye engine so there's really no difference.

Both GoldenEye and Perfect Dark are nowhere near as good as they were when they first came out. To me they had some really turdy level design. They are only any good if you only ever played console FPS games in the 90's. There are better games before and since, including this remake.

I reckon this will just be a HD port of the Wii game what with it having the "Reloaded" in the title.

Why? For an FPS it's very underrated, especially being the legendary Goldeneye. I don't think it got enough hype.

A mainstream console version of the Goldeneye 007 remake on the Wii was never ruled out, even when asked about it the devs said that it was a possibility.

    This is probably it.

I haven't heard about Goldeneye since it was released last year.

Oh c'mon most people who are over lets just say 25? KNOW about goldeneye, im 23 and i remember playing golden gun and rocket launchers. Yes it helped in the way we play first person shooters, but please just give it a rest, we cant be done with hearing 007 goldeneye every 2 minutes. We are in a age where we look at games like Crysis and Battlefield, that's how we create games! (for first person shooters).

All Nintendo nerds were moaning about a 007 return either on VC or Wii, and they got it?! Now the other money grabbing consoles will receive another copy, which will result in reasonable to crap sales no doubt.

When did Goldeneye become underrated? I remember everyone wanking over it though it has to be said it has aged terribly.

So help me God if they rerelease Goldeneye N64 on 3DS and 'modernise' it by having regenerating health and perks and all that other unnecessary crap (games were fun without them too, remember?), I'm going to go buy a megaphone, fly out to their head office, kick the fuckin' door in and yell BLASPHEMY down that megaphone right into every one of their faces.

After it happens, I'll come and take a picture of it for proof [IMG]

Honestly liked the old Golden Eye, but here I am wishing that people would invent new game names instead of milking the old ones. *krhm* Lego, Star Wars, etc.
