Activision may close PlayStation Network Black Ops servers

Well this is bullshit. If they let me send in my game for another one wtf would I get? There are no other Activision games I would even remotely be interested in.

Activision remains my least favorite company revolving around game creation to date. At least if EA had made the CoD games they would work without them having to shut them down due to a complete inability to make a game.

Oh I know, they've gotten so bad it's ridiculous. While EA was like the worst company a few years back, they've stepped their game up and gave us great titles and great support, and they also do a lot for the community (Burnaby studios anyways).

Activision has turned into something that I hope to see fall. They come up with no original titles. They release the same games over and over and over each year. And by that I mean, Call of Duty, Guitar Hero, Tony Hawk. They treat their customers like shit. And when they treat their developers like shit where those developers leave and go work for someone else, Activision sues [Brutal Legend comes to mind here]. I'm really hoping either Kotick gets fired or he runs his company into the ground. They're a drain on the gaming industry and as far as I'm concerned, I'm glad I've boycotted them ever since the PlayStation came out.

The only reason everyone is complaining is thqat in 50% of sessions the hosts leave or get kicked and you have to wait a minute for it to migrate. Than everyone gets impacient leaves and then everyone gets kicked, so they have to join another session, but as far as i know the Asussie servers are good.

They decided to just fix everything and include it in this years version so they can say hey look we made the game better than before and added these new innovations in it.

Really Activision just fix your fucken busted game and give peope what they paid you for.

THIS IS SLACK! how can activision fix this? by patching the game thats how. I rarely actually have bad connection on games (being an aussie) but it pisses me off when it happens, ESPECIALLY if I or my team is winning. Oh well, I won't be playing it much once i get my 3DS anyway so there's not much point complaining about it while I still use it.

EDIT: Let's hope whoever makes MW3 or whatever they decide to call it doesn't have the same problems or i will not bother with the game, ill just return it.

I agree. I only do campaign when my internet (not psn) is down and only for the trophies. The trophy incentive still doesnt make the campaign any less shitty either.

The Black Ops Campaign is surprisingly good and has a fantastically established, solid story.

But that still doesn't make it any less shitty.

A lot of PS3 users will get pissed off due to activision´s decision.

However, they should assign "admins" 24/7 watching over COD:BO servers match and reject cheaters. At least if they want to keep their customers happy, and not enraged.

I personally don´t like FPS too much, but sure it´s fun when your favvy game has multiplayer online

Why is that the dream of an xBox fanboy? Why do you care if people on PS3 play a game? This is actually Microsofts dream, now they take money away from indie companies like Sony, just so they can grow in their corporate mainstream world.

More sales for Xbox = more money for Xbox = more money for developers on Xbox = more developers who want to make great games on Xbox = more great games for me to play

Also, PSN has a better community than XBL. All in all, I'd say it's a major improvement.

the whole of of duty franchise for me is declining, waiting for some new independent gruop to come up with their own FPS

back in the day, medal of honor was the wow, then came call of duty, and i guess now we'll be seeing something new

Have you even tried the PS3 online? You can't even play two matches in a row without a connection or host migration fail.
