Hacking Acekard R.P.G *ANNOUNCEMENT*

I am very pleased to announce our new Acekard arrival :

The Acekard R.P.G (Acekard Real Play Gear) . In development for 10 months, Alot of work has gone into this Flash Card, and im sure you wont be dissapointed.

This will be the first Slot-1 Flash Card to have built in NAND Flash (8GB) & a slot for SDHC cards !! Also a built-in USB connector.

Wow! 8GB microsd cards are coming out, this thing will have a massive amount of storage!

That is some features list too!

The ability to switch from NAND to microsd on the fly will definatly help to improve compatiblity, wow, and open source!

I really hope this is better than the first Acekard which was awful.

I was just thinking the other day that it would be cool if someone did a flashcart that used NAND and Micro-SD.

From the description, looks like it has a DS-X like, with the USB thing.

considering it embeds 8 gigabytes of flash memory, I'd tend to think the price will be much higher than $50

It says gigabytes but I think it will probably have gigaBITS. And if it is, in fact, BYTES then I would like to hope it comes in a smaller size. I REALLY don't need 8GB AND expandable microSD memory.

Agreed. Chances are it's 1GB. I don't even think 8GB NAND chips are that affordable/mass produced/efficient/etc (don't even know if they exist)

Correcting time. The R4 just uses the one save type(512KB).

If you count slot 2, the official patcher for Supercard auto detects save types for commercial DS games.

They have been asked about those @ their forum and they said they will look into it

no i think G6 Real has the only true auto save detection before this (that has worked 100% as far as i know)

R4 gets patches for the occasional game that isn't detected properly i believe.

R4 uses constant 512 KB save .if a game needs more they fix it with a FW

If I was a manufacturer, I wouldn't dare enter the market without at least keeping up with the R4, since they dominate the market.
