the dstwo's ability to auto update is intriguing but the solid support for the acekard is equally impressive.

What says you, shoptemp?

you'll see when the acekard can't play new games and you have to wait for patch and/or updates

There hasn't been a single game with problems since Akaio 1.8.1 got released, but 2 games with problems on DSTwo.

Pros of Acekard:
Frequent Loader Updates
Nice Community
Semi AP patching
Nice GUI
Cost Effective
Doesnt kill ds battery

Cons of Acekard:
Does not play gba games

Pros of DsTwo:
Plays gba games
Supports a hell of a lot of video files
Full Anti Anti Piracy so you dont have to wait for a patch
SNES emulator
Nice GuI
"Promise" from superkard team that it will be compatible with 3DS

Cons of DsTwo:
Kills you ds battery pretty quickly because of on board cpu
Price seems to be a bit high to me BUT it will essentially be the last game/flashkard you will ever need

(Btw im an owner of an acekard 2i and soon to be owner of a superkard dstwo XD (gotta have that gba support))

not a single problem with acekard??
did you forget you couldn't get up the ladder unless you turn on ap

as for the dstwo, a patch was released to fix it already

look at each updates..
for akaio you always see a long list of game fixes
for dstwo is mostly bug fix with one or maybe 2 games thrown in

and with the dstwo you don't have to add a piece of paper to make it work

It's not that difficult to turn on AP bypass, is it? That's what it's made for.

No. But a lot of electricity. And heat. Quite a lot. And we don't have that much power on a DSi.

what do you expect from a better cart, with it's own cpu
it like buying a car, the faster sport car will eat more gas, while the slow family station wagon will eat less gas

dstwo= sport car
acekard = econmy car.. gets from from point A to point B and nothing else

QUOTE(tsantsa @ Nov 14 2010, 02:10 PM) DsTWO has my interests going...shoptemp or realhotstuff?

I personally prefer RHS simply because it ships faster without any hidden cost

How could you guys not name the con of the DSTWO, the emulation compatibility, is not the best. It's like 90% or something. Few games don't work.

I'd recommend the DSTWO if you care about the extra features, and I'd recommend shoptemp.

DSTWO @ www.shoptemp.com

And some of the proceeeds, go to support GBAtemp

Which in turn, helps you if you run into problems

But if you don't feel like grabbing the DSTWO, or just don't care for GBA/SNES emulation, you can grab the Acekard 2i for half the price of the DSTWO.

Acekard 2i @ www.shoptemp.com

And if it's a DS lite, you could always get the ez 3-in-1 which has perfect GBA compatibility and bundle it with the Acekard. That is if you get the urge to want to play GBA games.

Actually a lot of European GBA ROMs don't work! "game_config.txt" lists mostly US ROMs.

I went through the process of checkout on both sites, to see how they worked...whats this from shoptemp saying it takes 2 to 6 weeks or something for shipping? Something about mainland china...

Then either use the US ROM, or modify the game_config.txt to list the EU ROM

If you look on other sites for pretty much anything, 95% of them say "2-5 weeks", that's just standard. A lot of people have their product within 2 weeks. I bought my Acekard and received it in 10 days.

And the mainland China, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Shoptemp switch postal services?

If it would be that easy, it would have been done already.

And: don't forget that normal ingame saving doesn't work anyway and you can't close your DS while playing GBA.

It's your choice if that's fun for a game or not.
