So I accidentally left my PC unlocked on an eBay screen for a used PS3 system at work yesterday. One of the other guys there, playing a practical joke, hopped on an put in my bid for this PS3 unit. 9 hours later, there were no other bids, and I f-ing won. (I hope it wasn't someone on here that was selling this!!!) He will need to be worry about his eBay account now ...

It's $400 including shipping. It's a slightly used PS3 unit (unclear yet on whether it's the 40GB or 60GB, I'm waiting for a response from the seller). It comes with the following:

    2 Sixaxis controllers
    Carrying Case
    Sonic The Hedgehog
    Assassins Creed
    Conflict Denied Ops
    All Pro Football 2k8
    The Orange Box

All games in near mint condition with manuals. Smoke-free house, etc.

$400 a good deal? I'm interested in a PS3 more for Blu-Ray movies than gaming, but some games look fun. And I'll probably start doing the Folding@Home stuff on it.

So did my coworker rip me off? Or was that a decent deal?

Lol, the "accidentally won a PS3" make me laugh... [IMG]

BTW i think $400 is a fair/average price for the entire package...

That's pretty good. A Sixaxis new by itself was $50 (though I think Dualshock3 replaced it now).

That's a fair price. I think you should thank your colleague for that. PS3 games are quite wallet-consuming freaks so it is a good deal.

Keep being amazed 'winning' on ebay is still called winning [IMG]. You don't win it, you just bid the most [IMG]. Regardless 400 dollars isn't a bad deal afaik assuming everything is in the condition you say. As for playing blu-ray movies, make sure it is from the region you want to watch the movies from [IMG].

This is true, I didn't actually win it, but it was accidental and definitely unintentional. Even accidental for the guy who put in the bid; we both thought I'd be outbid in 9 hours. Oh well.

It's the 40GB model, about 2 months old, per the seller. I'm gonna see if I can't get some real detail on it's condition; but I'm interested in Assassin's Creed and The Orange Box nonetheless. The others are dumb. With Uncharted or Ratchet and Clank came with it.

For 40GB it's still a good enough deal, given that every hardware works. Blu-ray discs tend to stay in excellent condition regardless of how heavily you use it. They're virtually scratch free from "normal" usage.

All Pro Football 2k8 isn't bad. Oddly, it wasn't released in PAL regions.

I might buy the other ones if the price is good. PM me to let me know. I'd most likely pay w/Paypal.

Well I officially purchased it. The PayPal money went bye-bye this morning. It's covered under the protection plan, so if it turns out to be junk, I get a refund. I'm hoping it's not -- I've already changed my Netflix queue over to Blu-Ray.
