Hacking About to Hacki friends N3ds, How do i upgrade to 9.2 from 9.0

I'm still confused about this. So do i upgrade or leave it since it's still the same as 9.2?

Do i follow the guide as if i am on 9.2 when im on 9.0??

No, you do not need to update your friend's 3ds to firmware 9.2.

You should update your 3ds to 9.2 if you are on 9.0 .
Download the update pack for your console and region and use this to update using a homebrew entry point.

I think @Davidosky99 Says that cause is probably more stable? Otherwise if it works on 9.0, not sure why 9.2 is considered most required if others can work.

For all intents and purposes, there is no difference between 9.0 and 9.2. The only thing that was updated was home menu.

On the Get Started page it says

"9.0.0 - 9.2.0: Start on "Part 1 - Homebrew" then skip most of "Part 2 - 9.2.0 Downgrade" (more info on that page).
(9.0.0 and 9.1.0 are virtually identical to 9.2.0)"

I think they just say 9.2 throughout the guide to keep it more concise/simple

Oops i already made a mistake, On part 3 (RedNAND) I forgot to copy over the Luma3ds.dat file. And i just finished the Complete RedNAND setup. (step 7.)

Still said Complete Rednand setup Succeeded! But i missed a file...

How do i re-do this?

Uh. Luma3DS.dat is to execute the CFW, not to create RedNAND. Just pass the file to the SD card and continue the guide :3
